A monsoon trek into a UNESCO World Heritage valley of wildflowers, paired with the steep, stirring climb to the glacial lake and gurudwara of Hemkund Sahib at 4,329 m.
Itinerary
- Day 1Pickup → Joshimath
Drive from Rishikesh/Haridwar along the Alaknanda to Joshimath.
- Day 2Govindghat → Ghangaria
Drive to Govindghat, then a 9–10 km trek up to the base village of Ghangaria.
- Day 3Valley of Flowers
Day trek into the blooming valley, return to Ghangaria by evening.
- Day 4Hemkund Sahib
Steep climb to the glacial lake & gurudwara at 4,329 m, descend to Ghangaria.
- Day 5Ghangaria → Joshimath
Trek down to Govindghat and drive to Joshimath/Pipalkoti.
- Day 6Return & departure
Drive back via Rishikesh and drop at Haridwar/Dehradun station.
